BECOME A DEVLINKER

Build the software
that tests tomorrow’s vehicles.

DEVlink makes ChargeLink and DEP: engineering software that lets teams test EV charging and vehicle software before the hardware exists. We are a small Swedish company. You work remotely from anywhere in Sweden, with lab days in Falkenberg when the work needs a bench.

WHAT YOU WOULD WORK ON

Real protocols. Real benches.
Software people depend on.

01

Charging protocol stacks

ISO 15118-20, ISO 15118-2, DIN 70121 and IEC 61851-23/-24 System A, written in Rust: the conversation between a car and a charger, from SDP and TLS 1.3 to EXI messages and CAN frames.

02

A virtual engineering platform

DEP, a desktop platform in TypeScript, Electron and Rust that runs models, FMUs and real ECU software together, so teams can test before the hardware exists.

03

Test benches

NI VeriStand benches, Kvaser CAN interfaces and two-PC setups where the software meets a plant model. You see your code drive a real bench, not just pass a unit test.

HOW WE ENGINEER

Modern tools.
Engineering judgement.

01

AI-assisted engineering

We work alongside AI coding agents every day. Agents draft, test and document; engineers decide, review and own the result. You learn to direct that work well and to prove it on real hardware.

02

Standards from the inside

Learn ISO 15118, IEC 61851-23/-24, FMI and SSP the way few engineers do: by implementing them, testing them against each other and explaining the result to customers.

03

From bench to customer

Small team, short distance. You follow your work from the first test on the bench to a signed release a customer installs, with the evidence to back it up.

YOUR TOOLBOX

What you will use.

No one knows all of it on day one. Depth in one area and curiosity for the rest is what we look for.

  • Languages: Rust, TypeScript, Node.js, .NET, PowerShell
  • Desktop and tools: Electron, command-line tools, gRPC
  • Benches: NI VeriStand, Kvaser CAN interfaces, Windows test PCs
  • Standards: ISO 15118-20, ISO 15118-2, DIN 70121, IEC 61851-23/-24 System A, FMI, SSP
  • Way of working: AI coding agents, Git, code review, automated tests and release gates

WHERE YOUR EXPERIENCE COULD FIT

Different strengths.
One curious team.

01

Embedded and protocol software

Communication stacks, timing, CAN and Ethernet, and the details that make two systems understand each other.

02

Simulation and xIL engineering

Models, FMUs, MIL, SIL and HIL, and the question of how a system really behaves.

03

Product and test engineering

Desktop applications, test automation, technical UX and the tools engineers use every day.

These are areas of interest, not a list of open vacancies. We welcome introductions from people in all of them.

STUDENTS

Thesis and
internships.

We offer master’s thesis projects and internships in EV charging communication, simulation and test automation. Bring your own idea, or ask what we are working on.

  • Interoperability and conformance-readiness testing of charging protocols
  • Model-based testing with FMI and SIL
  • Test automation for HIL benches with NI VeriStand

HOW TO JOIN

Three steps.
No hoops.

01

Introduce yourself

Tell us what you have built, what you learned and what you want to build next. A link to code, a project or a thesis helps more than a CV alone.

02

Talk it through

A conversation about your work and ours: the products, the benches and how we engineer.

03

Find the fit

If there is a match, we agree on a role, a thesis or an internship together.

THE DEVLINKER MINDSET

Think deeply.
Build usefully.

01

Question assumptions

Investigate behaviour. Ask what the system is telling you and share what you learn.

02

Choose clarity

Make complex technology understandable to the engineer who will use it.

03

Follow through

Take responsibility from problem definition to a validated, useful outcome.

YOUR NEXT MOVE

Show us what you’ve built.

Remote in Sweden, lab days in Falkenberg. Tell us about a problem you solved and what you would like to build next.
